CUSTOMER SUPPORT & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Neel Group is a diversified company in Mauritius with operations across various sectors including construction, logistics, retail, and services. As part of our strong commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a highly organized Customer Support and Administrative Assistant .

Job Purpose

To be the first point of contact for Neel Group, managing front-desk duties with professionalism and efficiency, while providing vital administrative support and assisting with debtor follow-up and communication. The role is central to ensuring smooth daily office operations and timely cash collection coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Communication:

  • Receive and attend to all incoming calls in a professional manner
  • Make outbound calls on behalf of the Group for internal coordination, supplier/client follow-up, and payment reminders
  • Welcome visitors, clients, and suppliers and guide them as appropriate
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area

Debtor Follow-Up & Collections Support:

  • Call debtors regularly as per aging report provided by Finance
  • Follow up on payment commitments and escalate delays where needed
  • Maintain accurate records of all debtor communications
  • Coordinate with the finance team for updates on received payments

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with filing, document management, and office organization tasks
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail/courier services
  • Order and maintain office supplies and stationery stock
  • Support senior executives with scheduling, coordination, and basic document preparation
  • Assist in the preparation of letters, memos, and internal communication

Internal Coordination:

  • Liaise with departments across Neel Group companies to support day-to-day activities.
  • Ensure prompt transmission of messages and internal requests
  • Maintain logs of important calls, visitor registers, and administrative files

Qualifications and Skills

  • HSC or Diploma in Office Administration / Secretarial Studies or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in reception or office administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English and French
  • Polite, professional demeanor with a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a “can-do” attitude
  • Experience in debtor follow-up is a plus
